[ ] Laptop that meets the job's requirements
[ ] Accounts: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams

GETTING PAID

- Agree currency, payment schedule and invoicing method before you start
- Keep records of every payment for tax purposes

SPOTTING SCAMS — WALK AWAY IF:
- You are asked to pay for training, equipment or "registration"
- They ask for your BVN, bank PIN, OTP or card details
- There is no interview, or it happens only by text chat
- The company has no website, LinkedIn page or real staff
- The pay is far too high for very little work

STANDING OUT IN REMOTE APPLICATIONS
- Mention your time zone (WAT, UTC+1) and your overlap with their working hours
- Show you communicate well in writing — clear, short, structured messages
- Link a portfolio or examples of past work
- Highlight experience with remote tools and working independently
